This service has seen the most significant expansion during the last ten years and we enjoy a solid reputation for it in the agricultural section in Quebec. In fact, we became pioneers in farm food safety audits for several productions.
We strive to offer a uniform and rigorous service. Although Gestion Qualiterra is not an accredited certification body, our audit service is structured to meet the ISO 17065 standards. These dictate the requirements for accredited product, process and service certification bodies. Our auditors are trained for many programs and we can easily provide the required staff rotation to ensure impartiality. In addition, our staff has no conflict of interest with the audited companies.
Gestion Qualiterra is partnered with NSF Canada Agricultural Certification Company (NSF Canada Ag) to conduct audits for programs that require an accredited certification organization, such as the CanadaGAP. This partnership provides the flexibility to offer audit and certification services recognized by an accredited certification body or not, as required.
We perform audits for the following programs:
In collaboration with NSF, an auditor can carry out an audit pertaining to the breeding process that might lead to the labelling of production methods, for example, raised without antibiotics. Farms that want to do so must substantiate their claims before the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) through a third-party annual audit and a documented management and control process.
